Wood For Smoking
Fruit and cedar wood is considered the best smoking wood to impart that delicious, gourmet flavor. We have sought out the best available for you. A lot of the pros use sawdust or wood chunks for smoking. When slightly damp and placed in a pie tray on your heat source whether smoking or making jerky the sawdust smolders easier and more uniform on a cool fire or heat source. Some people prefer chunks which can be placed on a direct ember or burner element, we have them too! Our sawdust and chunks are packed in about 2 pound bags which can, depending on your taste yield 1 to 4 home sized batches (using about 3 to 5 pounds of meat per batch). We find these wood types to yield the most flavorable results, that’s why we chose them for you!!!
